Mechanical Discipline Lead
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Discipline Lead to oversee the delivery of innovative mechanical engineering solutions within the building services industry. This role is ideal for a technically accomplished professional who enjoys leading teams maintaining engineering excellence and contributing to the successful execution of multidisciplinary projects.
Requirements:
- BTech BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional registration with ECSA.
- At least 8 years of post-registration experience within mechanical building services.
- Proven expertise in HVAC and wet services.
- Solid understanding of applicable legislation engineering standards and project safety requirements.
- Additional exposure to fire protection refrigeration building management systems medical gas systems LPG services industrial mechanical services water and wastewater infrastructure or project management will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical engineering discipline and provide strategic technical direction.
- Deliver mechanical building services designs using appropriate engineering software.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review engineering documentation technical reports and design drawings.
- Conduct site inspections construction monitoring compliance audits and commissioning activities.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control processes across projects.
- Ensure successful project delivery in terms of scope quality cost and schedule.
- Mentor and develop mechanical engineering staff while promoting engineering best practices.
