Interior Designer

Introduction:
Our client based in Pretoria is seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a design professional with commercial interior design experience to work on a variety of projects in a collaborative fast-paced environment where creativity innovation and attention to detail are highly valued.

Job Purpose:
To design plan and deliver functional and aesthetically pleasing commercial interior spaces by managing projects from concept through to completion while ensuring client requirements project timelines and quality standards are met.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education (Essential):

• Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or a related field

Minimum Applicable Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in interior design with a focus on commercial projects

Required nature of experience:

• Commercial interior design
• Managing projects from concept to completion
• Client relationship management
• Space planning and design development
• Preparing technical drawings and design documentation
• Collaboration with contractors and project teams
• Mentoring or supporting junior designers (advantageous)

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

• Excellent design communication and project management skills
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of interior design principles
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
