Type: Permanent /Environment: Office and trade counter environment within a manufacturing site. About the Role
The Internal Sales Consultant is the customer’s first point of contact with the Company – on the phone, at the trade counter and behind every order and quote. The role owns the order-to-invoice journey for inbound business: processing sales orders accurately, serving walk-in customers, producing quotes quickly, and acting as the office anchor for the external sales representatives so that nothing a rep promises a customer falls through the cracks.

What you’ll need

• Matric / Grade 12; relevant sales or business administration qualification advantageous
• 2–5 years’ internal sales, counter sales or sales administration experience, preferably in coatings, chemicals, hardware or a related technical product environment
• Experience processing orders on an ERP system; SAP Business One advantageous
• Fluent, professional English on the phone and in writing; additional South African languages advantageous.
• Product knowledge of paints and coatings advantageous – full training will be provided.
• Accuracy under pressure
• Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency
• Customer-first temperament
• Direct, clear communication
• Integrity and confidentiality

A Few Things to Know

• Office and trade counter environment within a manufacturing site.
• Standard hours Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30.
• Occasional overtime at month-end or during peak demand, included in the cost-to-company package
• Predominantly desk- and counter-based; occasional assistance in the dispatch area.
