REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience working within a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment will be advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in relevant systems.
• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, such as:
• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BCom Accounting)
• Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc)
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Membership or affiliation with recognized professional accounting bodies, including CIMA, SAIPA, or SAICA, will be considered an advantage.

DUTIES:

Financial Leadership:

• Provide strategic financial leadership, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.
• Manage cash flow, treasury operations, banking relationships, and capital management strategies.
• Ensure adherence to all tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Administration & Operational Leadership:

• Provide oversight of key support functions, including HR, IT, legal, compliance, and facilities management.
• Develop and implement efficient operational processes, systems, and internal controls to support business growth.
• Collaborate with department leaders to ensure resources are aligned with organisational objectives.
• Drive initiatives focused on operational excellence, cost optimization, and effective supplier management.

Risk Management & Governance:

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
• Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management policies.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain business continuity and risk mitigation strategies.

Strategic Partnership:

• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on business strategy and operational matters.
• Deliver data-driven insights, financial analysis, and scenario planning to support informed decision-making.
• Represent the organization in engagements with banks, investors, auditors, and government stakeholders.

General Management & Departmental Oversight:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to key departments, including Finance, HR, and Inventory Management.
• Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance objectives aligned with the companys strategic priorities.
• Lead performance management processes, providing coaching, guidance, and development support to department heads.
• Ensure departments are appropriately structured, resourced, and equipped to achieve operational objectives.
• Provide regular reporting to the CEO on departmental performance, risks, and resource requirements.
