Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous, professional and supportive manner

• Answer incoming calls promptly, managing enquiries effectively

• Book, amend and cancel appointments in line with established protocols

• Use care navigation principles to direct patients to the most appropriate clinician or service

• Manage requests for repeat prescriptions in accordance with policy

• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters, emails and referrals

• Update demographic details and maintain accurate electronic records

• Register new patients and process patient information accurately

• Scan, file and upload documents in line with information governance requirements

• Provide administrative support to clinical and operational teams as needed

• Use clinical systems (e.g., EMIS or equivalent) accurately and efficiently

• Comply with GDPR, data protection and confidentiality standards

• Maintain accurate data entry and documentation

• Follow all organisational policies, procedures and standard operating processes
