Job descriptionAbout the Role As the Security Administrator, you will be responsible for engineering, operating, and continuously improving security controls across the organisation. You will work closely with infrastructure, development, and operational teams to remediate security findings, strengthen the security posture, and support the execution of the cybersecurity roadmap aligned to industry-standard security frameworks. You will also serve as a senior technical escalation point for security operations and contribute to the ongoing maturity of our security programme. Key Duties & Responsibilities - Remediate cloud security findings, vulnerabilities, and penetration test results. - Manage identity and access controls, including MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Access Management. - Administer and optimise endpoint security and EDR platforms across Windows and macOS estates. - Maintain WAF, Zero Trust access, DNS security, and email security controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). - Lead investigations of security incidents and support incident response activities. - Drive vulnerability management, security hardening, and remediation programmes. - Develop security automation using PowerShell, APIs, and cloud-native tools. - Support audits, compliance initiatives, and security maturity improvement programmes. Essential Skills & Requirements - 35 years' experience in Security Engineering, Security Operations, or Security Administration. - Strong Microsoft cloud security, identity management, and endpoint security experience. - Hands-on EDR administration experience. - PowerShell scripting and REST API knowledge. - Practical vulnerability management experience. - Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, VPN). Advantageous - SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, Security+, CySA+, or similar certifications. - CSPM, SIEM, Kubernetes/container security, and Infrastructure-as-Code experience. - Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and POPIA.
