A fast-growing financial services organisation is looking to appoint a commercially minded Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join its Finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical finance professional who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful business insights that influence strategic decision-making. Working closely with Finance Product and Business stakeholders youll play a key role in financial planning forecasting performance analysis and commercial optimisation within a dynamic technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting forecasting and scenario planning.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends risks and commercial opportunities.
• Support monthly quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Produce insightful management reports dashboards and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Finance Product and other business units to evaluate business performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Present financial information and insights in a clear concise and visually engaging manner.
• Assist with commercial decision-making by providing meaningful financial and data-driven recommendations.
• Contribute to the automation and enhancement of reporting processes and financial models.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Economics Data Science or a related discipline.
• 35 years experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Commercial Finance or Financial Analysis within a Financial Services Provider (FSP).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex financial modelling Pivot Tables and VBA.
• Experience working with Databricks or similar data analytics and visualisation tools.
• Practical SQL experience for querying and analysing large data sets.
• Strong financial modelling budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Advantageous

• Insurance
• Lending or Credit environments

Exposure to AI tools and automation technologies used to improve reporting forecasting or business processes will be advantageous.
