Our Strategic Services Department is looking for a highlyorganisedand detail-oriented Fisheries Regulatory Officerto provide critical administrative and regulatory support the Groups fishing and aquaculture interests.

About the Role

The Fisheries Regulatory Officer serves as an administrative role in the Groups strategic function. The successful candidate will ensure that records regulatorydocumentationand critical data relating to the Groups fishing and aquaculture regulatory requirements areaccuratecompleteand readily accessible enabling effective legal and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Records & Information Management

• Maintain and manage records relating to the Groups fishing licenses.
• Maintain comprehensive fishing regulatory and compliance records applicable to the Group.

Fishing Rights Administration

• Assistwith the administration of the Groups fishing licences.

Industry Data Management

• Compile andmaintain national and internationalfishing industry data and relevant industry statistics.
• Support the collectionanalysisand management of Group datarequiredfor any stakeholder engagement.

Stakeholder & Governance Support

• Coordinate and administer joint venture relationships.
• Assistwith company secretarial responsibilities relating to joint venture partners ensuringaccurategovernance documentation and compliance records.

MinimumRequirements

• Law degree or diploma.
• 12 years experience in administration data management or records management.
• High levelof accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Strongorganisational record-keepingand time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Advantageous

• Exposure to the fishing maritime regulatory or compliance environment.
• Knowledge of the South African fisheries regulatory landscape including the Marine Living Resources Act (MLRA) and the Department of Forestry Fisheries and the Environments administrative processes.
