POSITION INFO:

Our client in the agricultural milling industry is seeking a Senior Packaging Technician to oversee and improve packaging processes in Bloemfontein!

Location: Bloemfontein, Free State
Salary: Market Related
Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

Essential Requirements:

● National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NQF 4)
● Minimum 5 years technical maintenance experience
● Valid driver''''s license and own transport
● MS Office proficiency
● Experience with automated packaging machinery (advantageous)
● Electrical or Maintenance Diploma (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:

● Conduct daily inspections on automated and manual packaging equipment
● Perform fault-finding and breakdown repairs
● Ensure machines operate at optimal efficiency
● Monitor stock levels and order parts when needed
● Attend to after-hours breakdowns
● Coordinate packaging technicians and maintain packaging machinery

Core Responsibilities:

● Oversee and improve packaging processes within production environment
● Ensure products packaged efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards
● Set up and maintain packaging equipment
● Troubleshoot packaging issues
● Train junior staff
● Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams
● Optimize packaging performance and reduce waste
