Registered Nurse/Independent Clinical Technologist - Rover

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing or BTech in Clinical Technology.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife or
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).

Experience

• 1â2 years' dialysis experience in a haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis unit.
• Experience operating dialysis equipment and water treatment systems.
• Experience in the management of patients with chronic kidney disease.
• Experience in patient education and counselling.
• Knowledge and application of quality improvement and risk management principles.

Knowledge

Working knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and professional standards, including:

• National Health Act
• Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
• Occupational Health and Safety legislation
• SANC/HPCSA ethical rules and scope of practice
