Job description

A leading organisation in the healthcare sector is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and recent stock and fixed asset experience to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial accounting.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Work closely with operational managers to provide financial support and guidance.
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Minimum Requirements

Financial Accounting Degree.
Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accountant or Senior Accountant role.
Proficiency in Sage Evolution and/or Sage Intacct.
Recent stock and fixed asset accounting experience is essential.
Strong understanding of South African accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
