In house Site Supervisor

The In-House Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop/site, ensuring that technicians and fitters perform their duties safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The role focuses on productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technicians, fitters, and support staff.

• Ensure all jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed turnaround times.

• Allocate work based on technician skills, workload, and customer priorities.

• Conduct daily toolbox talks and monitor adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Monitor productivity, attendance, and performance of team members.

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Manage stock levels of tools, consumables, and equipment, and report shortages.

• Investigate and resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

• Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance and skills.

• Liaise with customers regarding job progress and service delivery where required.

• Ensure all company equipment is properly maintained and used correctly.

• Assist with scheduling and planning to maximize operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).

• Trade qualification or relevant technical qualification (advantageous).

• 3–5 years' experience in a supervisory role within a workshop, tyre, automotive, fleet, or industrial environment.

• Valid driver's license.

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

• Experience working with job cards and workshop management systems is advantageous.
