Procurement Manager

Job Description:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure a consistent and cost-effective supply of key products
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities to expand the supplier network
• Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to achieve favorable outcomes for the business
• Manage day-to-day procurement activities to ensure operational requirements are met
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and align procurement plans with business objectives
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies industry regulations and quality standards
• Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and operational efficiency
• Lead mentor and support the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives

Skills & Experience:

• Agriculture/ Meat Industry exposure NON-NEGOTIABLE
• 5 years procurement experience
• 5 years management experience
• Afrikaans speaking
• Knowledge and awareness of trends in the meat industry
• Marketing and Sales
• Financial Awareness
• Detail focused

Qualification:

• Diploma/ Degree in Farming & Agriculture NON-NEGOTIABLE
