Drill Rig Maintenance Technician (MillwrightDiesel Mech)

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic pumps motors cylinders valves and pilot circuits.
• Test hydraulic pressure and flow control contamination and resolve system faults.
• Repair boom hoist feed rotation mast and dump functions.
• Maintain mechanical parts including bearings shafts pins bushes and linkages.
• Find and repair 24V electrical faults involving solenoids relays sensors and wiring.
• Service and repair diesel engines fuel systems turbochargers cooling and charging systems.
• Investigate low power overheating stalling leaks vibration and abnormal noise.
• Maintain service records engine-hour logs and preventative maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Strong hydraulic fault-finding experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Mechanical electrical and diesel repair experience.
• Background in mining drilling earthmoving or high-pressure hydraulic equipment.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns.

Education

• Relevant Millwright Diesel Mechanic Earthmoving Equipment or Hydraulic Technician qualification preferred.
• Proven practical experience may be considered.

Salary
