Technical Sales Representative

Our client, a well-established company within the engineering and manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join their commercial team based in Richards Bay.

This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven sales professional with a strong background in technical solution selling and experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the engineering and manufacturing industries.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, engineers, and procurement professionals.

• Conduct technical presentations and recommend tailored product and service solutions.

• Prepare and submit quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals.

• Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and achieve sales targets.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and identify growth opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' technical sales experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors.

• Relevant post-matric qualification in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field advantageous.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regionally.
