An exciting opportunity exists for two experienced Online Broker Underwriting Consultants to join a leading insurer on a 12-month contract based in Parktown. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about underwriting thrive on broker interaction and have a solid understanding of Personal Lines Short-Term Insurance.

What Youll Be Doing

As part of the Online Broker team you will:

• Assess and underwrite new and existing Personal Lines risks
• Make referral underwriting decisions in line with company guidelines
• Provide technical underwriting support to brokers and insurance consultants
• Manage policy screenings and underwriting portfolios
• Handle renewals and broker appointments
• Identify retention opportunities and deliver outstanding service to brokers
• Apply sound underwriting principles to ensure profitable business growth

What Were Looking For

To be considered you must meet all of the following requirements:
Grade 12
FAIS Compliant 150 Credits in Personal Lines Underwriting (NQF Level 4)
RE5 Qualification
Minimum 3 years current Personal Lines Short-Term Insurance underwriting experience
Current experience dealing with brokers
Strong understanding of Personal Lines underwriting principles
Proven track record of quality compliance and underwriting excellence

Advantageous Experience

Experience working with:

• PolicyCentre
• Call Centre underwriting environments
• Personal Lines broker support
• Policy screenings and underwriting referrals

• Work Arrangement: Office-based (Monday to Friday)
• Working Hours: 08:00 17:00

• Training: Comprehensive 6-week training programme provided before joining the operational team.
