Introduction
Aspire Recruiting, acting on behalf of a prominent corporate client, is seeking an adaptable, solutions-oriented Junior Legal Counsel for an immediate 3-month fixed-term contract. This short-term assignment is ideal for a recently admitted attorney or a junior lawyer looking to gain hands-on in-house corporate experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate standard day-to-day commercial contracts, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), supply, manufacturing, and logistics agreements.
- Assist the senior legal team in managing commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters, including drafting basic pleadings, opinions, and legal correspondence.
- Provide administrative and legal support for the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark reviews and enforcement initiatives.
- Assist with regulatory matters and advertising disputes, including preparing submissions for regulatory boards.
- Support legal risk mitigation strategies by reviewing potentially sensitive external communications.
- Provide general, ad hoc legal support across the business, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve daily legal queries
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
- Admitted Attorney.
- Less than 3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) as an Associate or Junior Counsel is ideal).
- Prior exposure to commercial litigation, corporate law, or contract drafting during articles or post-admission practice.
- Strong analytical abilities and excellent legal drafting skills.
- Effective team collaborator who is also comfortable contributing independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to grasp legal concepts quickly, apply deep thinking to legal tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
