Senior Software Associate - Port Elizabeth

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking to employ a Senior Software Associate to join their team based in Coega, Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, System Support, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting and maintaining production computer systems in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience supporting ERP systems, particularly SAP and/or Evolve, will be advantageous.
• Experience with database systems, reporting, and query tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
• Strong team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Knowledge of application support processes and system maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support existing software products and assist in developing new and enhanced ERP solutions.
• Provide application support for business systems and resolve user issues effectively.
• Investigate system incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse recurring incidents and recommend long-term solutions.
• Support system implementations before, during, and after deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and Help Desk knowledge base articles.
• Monitor system performance and maintain data quality and integrity.
• Perform scheduled system maintenance and support activities.
• Manage support calls by logging, prioritising, tracking, and updating incidents in real time.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.
• Review and recommend continuous improvements to business systems and support processes.
• Participate in problem management and report recurring issues to improve overall system performance.
