ESTATE AGENT – PROPERTY AUCTIONS

Position Overview
A leading South African property auction company is seeking experienced, commercially driven Estate Agents to join its growing team. This opportunity is suited to established property professionals who have a proven track record in residential or commercial property sales and are looking to expand their earning potential through the auction model. The successful candidates will be responsible for sourcing property opportunities, securing seller mandates, building strong client relationships and managing properties through the auction process.

Commission – Based

Remuneration

• Commission-based position
• 50/50 commission split
• Strong earning potential
• Ideally suited to Estate Agents currently earning, or capable of earning, approximately R400 000 to R600 000 or more per annum

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of three years’ property or real-estate sales experience
• Proven track record of sourcing listings and concluding property transactions
• Experience securing property mandates
• Strong network of property owners, investors, developers or commercial clients
• Sound understanding of the property-sales process
• Excellent prospecting and business-development ability
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Professional communication and client-service skills
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and target-driven
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline
• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable transport
• Access to a laptop, mobile telephone and reliable internet
• Relevant Property Practitioner qualifications and registration would be advantageous or required, depending on the candidate’s status
• Previous auction experience would be advantageous but is not essential

Key Responsibilities

• Source residential and commercial properties for auction
• Identify prospective property sellers and new business opportunities
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling and market research
• Meet with property owners and present the auction sales model
• Explain the auction process, benefits, costs and expected timelines
• Secure property mandates and complete all required documentation
• Obtain accurate property, seller and transaction information
• Build and maintain relationships with property owners, investors and developers
• Manage a consistent pipeline of prospective listings and mandates
• Coordinate with internal marketing, administration and auction teams
• Keep sellers informed throughout the auction process
• Attend property inspections, client meetings and auction-related events
• Monitor property-market activity and identify potential opportunities
• Achieve agreed listing, mandate and sales targets
• Maintain accurate records of all leads, appointments and transactions
• Ensure that all client interactions comply with company and regulatory requirements
