About Our Client Our client is a leading national interior design firm with a solid reputation for quality interior design and reliability in the corporate market. Operating since the early 90's, the firm provides solutions across interior architecture, project management, and turnkey solutions. They serve a diverse client base across Cape Town and Johannesburg. The Role: Senior Project Manager This role exists to lead a small project management team in Cape Town and oversee projects from inception to delivery. The position contributes to the business by collaborating with management to determine project feasibility, fee structures, margins, and project profitability while acting as a brand ambassador. Key focus areas include team supervision, budget compilation, project master programming, procurement, site management, client liaison, and project close-out. Key Responsibilities Apply 5-7 years of project management experience in the built environment to lead a small project management team in Cape Town and oversee projects from inception to delivery. Collaborate with management to determine project feasibility, fee structures, margins, and project profitability. Oversee budget compilation, revisions, client presentations, cash flow, and invoicing schedules. Create and manage project master programmes while controlling drawing versions, supplier selection, tendering, and procurement. Manage progress on site according to project plans and quality of works in terms of specifications while collaborating with interior designers. Maintain client liaison, build client relationships, and execute project close-out and handover. Act as a brand ambassador to support business development. About You 5-7 years of project management experience in the built environment Project management qualification Exposure to interior design and understanding of construction methods Strong numerical skills, computer skills, and sound ability to manage finances and project plans Excellent organizational and coordinating skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Ability to think on your feet, problem solve, collaborate with a team, and remain flexible and adaptable Entrepreneurial acumen, business understanding, and experience working with deadlines in a pressurized environment
