Sales and Marketing Manager â Regional Brands

SUMMARY:
International Wine Group based in Stellenbosch is looking for a commercially driven, execution-focused Sales and Marketing Manager: Regional Brands to lead the growth of their regional brand portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on turning strategy into results: growing sales volumes, building trade relationships, and bringing brand plans to life in the market.

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will take ownership of distribution, sales and marketing plans for their regional brands across South Africa, while providing marketing support to selected key accounts in international and African markets. You will manage the South African Sales & Marketing team, hold them accountable for delivery, and work closely with distribution partner and direct accounts to drive sell-through and brand presence in every channel.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Sales Execution & Revenue Growth: Drive national sales execution to meet or exceed volume and revenue targets across all regional brands, with strong oversight of stock, displays and distributor performance. Key Account & Trade Relationships: Build and strengthen relationships with key distributors, retailers and trade partners, with a focus on restoring and growing local distributor volumes and supporting international key accounts. Marketing Execution & Brand Activation: Write and activate annual marketing plans, ensuring consistent, impactful brand presence across in-store, digital and trade channels in South Africa and core export markets. Market Intelligence & Strategic Input: Monitor competitor activity, market trends and consumer behaviour, feeding insights into brand and sales strategy and contributing to annual planning cycles. Team Leadership & Performance Management and internal training: Lead, train, coach and hold accountable the Marketing and Sales teams, ensuring clear targets, strong training, and a delivery-focused team culture. Budget & Financial Management: Compile and manage the regional brands' sales and marketing budget, directing spend to the highest-impact activities and tracking ROI. Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Service: Collaborate across winemaking, , operations and the wider commercial team, representing the brands at trade events and ensuring excellent customer service. Requirements: Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field; post-graduate qualification advantageous. WSET Level 2 or higher advantageous. Minimum 10 years' experience in a sales and\/or marketing role, with a strong emphasis on sales execution. Proven track record of driving and achieving sales targets. Experience managing multiple brands or working within a group structure. Experience in key account management and trade relationship building. Wine industry experience advantageous. Commercially minded, with strong financial acumen and analytical skills. Self-driven, proactive and results oriented. Strong communicator, negotiator and relationship manager. Able to work independently as well as lead and collaborate within a team.
