Description

Seeking a highly accomplished and forward-thinking Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Data Technologies & Artificial Intelligence to define and drive enterprise data and AI strategy. The role requires deep expertise in modern data platforms, cloud-based data engineering, AI/ML, Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). The SME will act as a trusted advisor, solution architect, and technical leader, enabling business transformation through innovative data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise data and AI strategies aligned with business objectives and transformation programs.
• Provide thought leadership on trends in data engineering, analytics, machine learning, Generative AI, and LLMs.
• Design and oversee end-to-end data architectures including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
• Architect and optimize modern data platforms using Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Lakehouse architectures on cloud platforms.
• Establish scalable, secure, high-performance data pipelines to support analytics and AI workloads.
• Lead evaluation, selection, development and deployment of ML and AI solutions, including predictive analytics, Generative AI and LLM initiatives.
• Guide model lifecycle management, including training, validation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, governance, metadata management, and security.
• Define standards for data modeling, AI governance, MLOps and DevOps practices to ensure reproducibility and compliance.
• Serve as the primary technical expert for data and AI platforms, mentoring architects, engineers and data scientists.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technology assessments and provide solution assurance.
• Partner with clients, business leaders and delivery teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and support pre-sales and strategic engagements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, analytics and AI/ML.
• Proven track record leading large-scale data and AI transformation programs in consulting, system integration or enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps, model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Deep familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native data technologies.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and mentoring capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• Relevant certifications in Cloud, Data Engineering, AI/ML or Data Architecture are desirable.
