Our client in the Hospitality Industry is seeking to employ a Barista to join their team in the Bedfordview area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quality coffee beverages, assisting customers, operating the point-of-sale system, serving light food items, and maintaining a clean and professional service area.

Duties & Responsibilities
Core Coffee Duties

• Operate commercial espresso machines to prepare cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites, and other coffee beverages.
• Grind coffee beans, texture milk, and prepare drinks according to brand recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality control with every drink served.
• Clean steam wands, clear used coffee grounds, and sanitise the coffee station regularly.

Counter and Food Service

• Welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and well-spoken manner.
• Take customer orders quickly and accurately.
• Make menu suggestions where required.
• Serve grab-and-go food items such as pies, muffins, fresh pastries, and other baked goods.
• Operate the point-of-sale system.
• Process cash and card payments accurately.
• Balance the till when required.

Station Maintenance and Hygiene

• Restock display units, cup holders, sugar stations, and milk fridges.
• Keep the coffee station, counter, and service area clean and organised.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure the service area remains neat, presentable, and customer ready.

Experience & Qualification

• Previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, or customer service experience will be advantageous.
• Must reside in Bedfordview or within close proximity.
• Must be presentable and well spoken.
• Good English communication skills required.
• Must be customer-service orientated.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic cash-handling and POS experience will be advantageous.
• Must be willing to assist with cleaning, restocking, and general service duties.
