IT Systems Administrator

Our esteemed client, within Bloemfontein, is seeking a reliable, results driven IT Systems Administrator to join their dynamic team!

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF4.
• 5 years of experience in an IT environment of which a minimum of 3 years as a System Administrator.
• MCSA and CCNA certification.
• VMWARE and VEEAM certification as well.
• Extensive server, virtualisation, backups and network experience.
• Valid RSA Driver's License with own transport.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and optimise our on-premises servers, storage, and network infrastructure so that everything stays available, fast and aligned with business requirements.
• Manage network components (Firewalls, switches, routers and VPNs) and cloud resources a strong focus on security and compliance.
• Run proactive patch management, updates, and troubleshooting to prevent issues before they impact the business.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and restore processes -including regular testing, to protect critical data and meet business opportunity and regulatory requirements.
• Apply cybersecurity controls, assist with vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents in line with our established procedures and timelines.
• Act as the key escalation point above Tier 1 Support for complex infrastructure issues and manage secure user access, account provisioning, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
