Operations Manager

Job Vacancy: Operations Manager (Logistics & Warehousing) | Johannesburg A well-established organisation in the logistics industry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its warehousing and logistics operations in Johannesburg. This is a senior leadership role requiring a commercially minded professional with a proven track record of driving operational excellence, leading high-performing teams, improving efficiencies, and consistently achieving key business KPIs. Minimum Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management position within the logistics industry . Essential: Proven experience managing both warehousing and logistics operations . Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding operational KPIs. Strong leadership experience managing large operational teams. Experience managing operational budgets and cost control initiatives. Sound understanding of inventory management, warehouse optimisation and distribution processes. Experience implementing and improving operational processes and efficiencies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong knowledge of health and safety, quality and compliance standards. Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office. Valid South African driver's licence. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all warehousing and logistics operations. Drive operational efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop, monitor and achieve operational KPIs and performance targets. Manage warehouse performance, inventory accuracy and stock control. Oversee transport, distribution and delivery operations. Ensure exceptional customer service and on-time delivery performance. Lead, coach and develop management and operational teams. Manage operational budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Analyse operational data and prepare management reports. Identify risks and implement effective operational solutions. Work closely with senior leadership to support business growth and strategic objectives.
