Financial Manager

In order to be considered the following is required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or commerce
• CA(SA), ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• 5–10+ years in project accounting, contract accounting or similar project-based industries
• Experience with operational finance, job costing, WIP accounting, project profitability and revenue recognition
• Developing and maintaining tender costing models and templates
• Preparing management accounts, board packs, budgets, forecasts and year-end packs
• Managing external audits and statutory reporting
• Leading finance teams of 8–15 staff

• Able to explain financial concepts to non-financial managers
• Hands‑on leader willing to be involved in the detail while maintaining strategic oversight
• Confident and resilient under pressure
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Experienced people leader able to manage and develop a team of approximately 12 staff

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the finance function
• Oversee project accounting across regions
• Maintain and improve tender costing templates
• Support GMs and regional teams with financial analysis and queries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Manage audits, controls and compliance requirements
