Introduction
Area of specialization: To provide a safe, organised and planned first line maintenance service within the grid for high voltage plant and associated equipment. Task Grade: T10. Business Unit: Eastern Grid. Location: Empangeni, Ladysmith & Newcastle
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an operating service to HV plant.
- Execute maintenance.
- Perform inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies.
- Provide mentoring and coaching.
- Provide documentation and configuration management.
- Monitor non-outage related activities and conditions.
Skills and Competencies Required:
Knowledge:
- Plant, equipment
- Local operating procedures requirements
- Certificate to execute maintenance according to HV plant certification requirements
- Planning procedures
- Operating procedures
- Switchgear maintenance according to HV plant certification requirements
- Work site requirements
- Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Trade Certificate Electrical (Light Current/Heavy Current) at NQF4 with 120 credits
Related Minimum Experience:
- 2 Years Electrical experience
