Head of Financial Shared Services| Permanent | Johannesburg

Our client, an established company with a focus on innovation and efficiency, is seeking a highly experienced Head of Financial Shared Services to steer their finance operations to new heights.

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and implement a comprehensive finance shared services strategy aligned with a 2-5 year business vision. You will lead critical finance functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Financial Controls, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

Duties:

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for finance shared services aligned with long-term business goals.
• Lead and optimise daily operations across multiple finance functions.
• Establish and manage service level agreements, KPIs, and performance metrics with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to IFRS, statutory obligations, and maintain a strong financial control environment.
• Oversee month-end closing, reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparations.
• Drive continuous improvement through process automation, efficiency initiatives, and service delivery excellence.
• Participate in ERP and finance technology enhancement projects.
• Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships across finance, operations, auditors, suppliers, and leadership.
• Lead, develop, and coach large finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Registered CA(SA) qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of extensive finance experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large teams.
• Proven track record leading finance shared services or similar large-scale finance environments.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with extensive IFRS knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
