Process Engineer

We are seeking a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement and ensure world-class quality in automotive production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with established quality systems and standards.
• Analyse process and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer specifications and expectations.
• Support production teams with technical expertise to resolve process-related challenges.
• Maintain and improve documentation in line with quality and operational requirements.

Key Competencies and Skills:

• In-depth understanding of quality systems and concepts
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and automotive product standards
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Familiarity with work measurement techniques
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective planning and organisational ability
• Ability to manage customer relationships professionally
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office and relevant engineering software)

Minimum Requirements:

• Education:
  • National Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (NQF Level 6)
  • Certificate in Total Quality Management (TQM)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years’ quality experience in the automotive industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience in the automotive sector
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with SPC/FMEA methodologies
  • Toolmaking experience will be advantageous
