Area of specialization:To provide a safe, organised and planned complex centralised maintenance service within the grid for high voltageplant and associated equipment. Department: HV PLANT. Business Unit: Western Grid. Location: Northern Cape- De Aar
Key Responsibilities
- Execute maintenance
- Provide an operating service to HV PLANT
- Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies.
- Provide repairs, breakdown service
- Provide mentoring and coaching
- Provide advisory services
- Provide documentation and configuration management
Skills and Competencies Required
Knowledge:
- Plant, equipment
- Local operating procedures requirements
- Certificate to execute maintenance according to HV Plant verification requirements
- Planning procedures
- Operating procedures
- Switchgear maintenance according to HV Plant
- Work site requirements
- Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act
Qualification(s)
Trade Certificate Electrical (Light Current/Heavy Current) at NQF4 with 120 credits
Experience
3 years’ Electrical experience
