Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations and financial controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors
• Supervise and mentor junior finance team members
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function

Job Experience and Skills Required

• B.Com Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Articles advantageous (SAICA/SAIPA)
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Minimum 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Excel and financial/accounting systems
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
