Executive Head

Motor Plan Direct is seeking an exceptional commercial executive to join our group Leadership Team as Executive Head: Motor Plan Direct. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an ambitious commercial and sales executive with extensive experience in leading high-volume outbound contact centre operations within the South African short-term insurance or financial services industry.

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven leader who combines strategic foresight, operational discipline, and exceptional people leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

• Shape and execute the commercial strategy to accelerate sustainable revenue growth, strengthen market position, and maximise profitability.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing commercial organisation, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and commercial excellence.
• Drive sales performance across all channels by delivering ambitious growth targets and unlocking new revenue opportunities.
• Identify and capitalise on strategic growth opportunities through market expansion, customer acquisition, and high-value partnerships.
• Partner across the business to align sales, marketing, and operational strategies that accelerate demand generation and commercial success.
• Champion customer excellence by creating exceptional customer experiences that increase brand loyalty, retention, and lifetime value.
• Optimise commercial performance through strategic financial oversight, disciplined budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Harness data and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions, anticipate market shifts, and maintain competitive advantage.
• Lead business transformation by driving operational excellence, digital innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Cultivate executive relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and stakeholders to strengthen long-term business value.
• Build leadership capability by developing exceptional talent, strengthening succession pipelines, and empowering future leaders.
• Influence enterprise strategy as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to organisational performance, governance, and long-term success.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Sales Management, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Management, Strategy, or a related discipline (advantageous).
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ progressive experience within commercial leadership, sales management, business development, or revenue-generating environments.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at senior management or executive level, preferably leading outbound contact centre operations.
• Experience managing multiple sales campaigns, customer acquisition channels, and revenue-generating initiatives.
• Strong experience managing commercial budgets, forecasting, performance metrics, and operational outcomes.
• Proven ability to leverage data-driven insights to optimise sales effectiveness, customer acquisition, and overall business performance.
