Debtors and Creditors Clerk

An established business based in Elsies River is looking for an experienced and highly accurate Debtors & Creditors Clerk to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who is confident managing both debtors and creditors, has strong Sage and Excel skills, and is comfortable working in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full debtors and creditor’s function.
• Process customer invoices, supplier invoices, credit notes and payments.
• Perform debtor and creditor account reconciliations.
• Follow up on outstanding customer accounts and manage collections.
• Prepare supplier reconciliations and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Capture financial transactions accurately on Sage.
• Allocate receipts and payments to the correct accounts.
• Investigate and resolve customer and supplier account queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Assist with month-end procedures and financial reporting.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Debtors & Creditors Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Bookkeeper or similar finance position.
• Proven hands-on experience using Sage is essential.
• Strong understanding of debtors, creditors, reconciliations and general bookkeeping principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.
• High level of accuracy when processing financial information.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Relevant bookkeeping, accounting or finance qualification would be advantageous.
• Reliable transport is essential due to the location and working hours.
