HEAD OF PROCUREMENT

Salary: R 70 000 - R 100 000

We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and manage the company’s procurement function. The successful candidate will develop procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, manage costs and ensure the timely supply of quality goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement the company’s procurement strategy and policies.
* Manage supplier selection, evaluation, negotiations and performance.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and delivery agreements.
* Identify cost-saving and value-adding opportunities.
* Ensure effective purchasing processes and compliance with company policies.
* Manage procurement budgets and monitor expenditure.
* Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
* Monitor market trends, pricing and supplier risks.
* Ensure quality, availability and timely delivery of products and services.
* Lead, manage and develop the procurement team.
* Ensure accurate procurement records, reporting and documentation.
* Work closely with Finance, Operations, Warehousing and other departments.

Minimum Requirements

* Grade 12 qualification.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field.
* 5–10 years’ procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a management/senior leadership role.
* Strong negotiation, analytical and financial skills.
* Experience in supplier and contract management.
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and relevant procurement/ERP systems.
