About the Role:

This is a hands-on technical position for an artisan who enjoys working on the
tools and takes pride in building, repairing, servicing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Millwright and/or Fitter & Turner.
• Minimum 15 - 20 years' practical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with extensive fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with:
  • Industrial motors
  • Pumps
  • Gearboxes
  • Agitators
  • Mixers
  • Conveying systems
  • Production machinery
• Ability to assemble and rebuild industrial reactors and process equipment.
• Experience in a chemical, resin, paint, coatings, process manufacturing, or related production environment will be highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair reactors used in resin and paint manufacturing
• Assemble and fit motors, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, and related equipment
• Perform stainless steel spot welding and fabrication work as required
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns
• Strip, inspect, refurbish, and rebuild machinery and equipment
• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently
• Assist with plant upgrades, modifications, and equipment installations
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping
