Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake preliminary and detailed design of civil engineering services, including:

- Roads
- Stormwater systems
- Water infrastructure
- Sewer infrastructure
Liaise with commercial and government clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with project appointments, scope definition and professional fee negotiations.
Manage design conceptualisation and development.
Prepare and monitor project cost and progress reports.
Liaise with multidisciplinary professional teams, including architects, quantity surveyors, electrical engineers, environmental consultants and health and safety professionals.
Liaise with relevant local authorities and government bodies regarding approvals, wayleaves and project requirements.
Manage and coordinate design team activities, including work allocation, progress monitoring, review of completed work and issuing of deliverables.
Review civil engineering scheme reports, traffic reports, stormwater management reports and floodline reports.
Assist with project procurement, including:
- Tender drawings
- Bills of Quantities
- Tender documentation
- Tender processes and adjudication
- Contractor appointment
Manage project implementation and contract administration.
Chair site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Manage contractual matters, project costs, scope and quality.
Maintain effective project correspondence and records.
Assist with project close-out, invoicing and payment processes.

Minimum Requirements

BSc, BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering.
3 - 5 years relevant experience in infrastructure development and township development.
Previous experience within the consulting engineering sector.
Practical experience in the design of roads, stormwater, water and sewer infrastructure.
Experience working with clients, professional teams and relevant authorities.
Exposure to project procurement, tender processes and construction-stage contract administration.

Projects may include:
