ASSISTANT TO SENIOR BUYER'S

SENIOR ASSISTANT BUYER -FURNITURE

Bellville - Cape Town

SALARY: R 20,000- R 25,000 CTC Neg+Benifit

High-end architectural design, finishing fabrics, textiles, and luxury décor. Specializing in exclusive products for architects, interior designers, and discerning homeowners seeking sophisticated, high-quality fabrics and furnishings.

Role - Furniture Buying Assistance-Coordination and management of the buying processes for furniture

Minimum Requirements:

· National Senior Certificate

· Qualification in a relevant field advantageous

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role as a Buyer’s Assistant on a more senior level

· Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office

· Very good attention to detail

· Highly structured and accurate

· Must be able to take initiative and work independently

· Proven experience working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license

Duties

• ·Coordinate and manage furniture buying process by; ensuring positive supplier and internal relationships, general Buying Product Cycle documents kept up to date, support provided with buying process, sales consultants requests handled.

• Coordination of general systems and documentation – ensuring it is up to date; evaluating current systems and procedures and to allow for improvement in line with business needs and growth; furniture specifications confirmed and processed.

• Managing sampling; liaising with suppliers for furniture samples, record kept of all incoming samples, corresponding with couriers to track incoming parcels/samples and clearing held parcels, sample areas managed and kept orderly, payment process supported.

• Coordination and management of product artwork; artwork for labels and assembly instructions requested, created and checked, liaise with marketing regarding artwork/copy and photography, ensure smooth execution of all product label requirements with supplier, product fact sheets completed once items are in Goods in Transit List.
