Tax Associate (Global VAT Compliance)

Pretoria | Hybrid/Office-Based | Multiple Opportunities Available

We're building a talent pipeline of exceptional Tax Associates for several upcoming opportunities within an established international consulting environment.

We're not simply looking for candidates with tax experience.
We're looking for high-performing individuals with a strong academic foundation in taxation, outstanding communication skills, commercial awareness, and the intellectual curiosity to work within the fast-paced world of global VAT compliance.

What you'll be doing:

• Working directly with multinational clients
• Researching and interpreting tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions
• Managing time-sensitive compliance deliverables
• Analysing complex regulatory requirements and applying them in practice
• Building trusted client relationships
• Working independently while collaborating with a high-performing team

What we're looking for:

• A qualification specifically focused on Taxation
• A strong academic track record

Exceptional communication skills

This is a client-facing role.
You'll need to communicate confidently, explain complex concepts clearly, and build relationships with senior stakeholders across large multinational organisations.

A problem-solving mindset

• Analyse regulations
• Interpret legislation
• Apply technical knowledge to practical scenarios

Experience in EU VAT or US Sales Tax?

That's an advantage, but it's not essential.
We're far more interested in candidates with strong tax fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and the ability to apply legislation in practical, real-world scenarios.
