Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, cabinet installation, and general construction, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient installation of kitchen cabinetry, countertops, and other related components, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise installation of kitchen cabinets (base, wall, tall units), ensuring level and plumb alignment.
• Fit and install kitchen appliances, sinks, and faucets as required, coordinating with plumbers and electricians when necessary.
• Execute minor modifications to cabinetry or architectural elements on-site to ensure a perfect fit.
• Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.

Site Preparation & Management:

• Prepare job sites for installation, including protecting existing floors and surfaces.
• Verify measurements and site conditions against design plans before commencing work.
• Manage and organize tools, equipment, and materials on-site efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Quality Control & Customer Service:

• Conduct thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure all elements are securely fitted and aesthetically pleasing.
• Address any installation issues or client concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project flow.
• Provide clients with post-installation care instructions for their new kitchen.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Complete necessary paperwork, including daily logs, installation checklists, and material usage reports.
• Report any discrepancies or unforeseen challenges on-site to the project manager promptly.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in kitchen cabinet installation, general carpentry, or a related trade.
• Demonstrated experience with various types of cabinetry (stock, semi-custom, custom) and countertop materials.

Skills:

• Proficiency with common carpentry tools and power tools (saws, drills, levels, measuring devices).
• Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and installation diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot on-site issues.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (e.g., cabinets, countertops).

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or a related field is highly preferred.
