ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a creatively strong Studio Lead / Senior Interior Designer to lead commercial interior projects from initial brief and concept development through to coordinated construction issue.

This is a design leadership role requiring strong conceptual ability, client-facing confidence and sufficient technical knowledge to guide Revit documentation while maintaining the approved design intent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead projects from concept through design development and construction issue
• Develop commercially relevant interior design concepts
• Present concepts to clients, consultants and project stakeholders
• Direct and review Revit documentation
• Maintain design quality and consistency across projects
• Brief and manage designers, visualisers and technical resources
• Mentor junior team members
• Identify and resolve design, coordination and buildability issues

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years’ professional interior design experience
• Strong conceptual and creative design portfolio
• Commercial interior design experience
• Experience taking projects from brief through to construction documentation
• Good Revit competency
• Strong understanding of detailing, materials, finishes, joinery and lighting
• Leadership, mentoring and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Hospitality, gaming or retail interior experience
• Experience developing studio standards and workflows
• Visualisation software experience
• Experience working with contractors, fabricators and suppliers
