Financial Accountant

Are you a driven, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with numbers and thrives in a fast-paced environment? An expanding property investment company is looking for an ambitious and compliance-focused Accountant to join their growing team.

Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, taxation, audits and broader financial operations within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Manager with financial reporting across subsidiaries.

• Prepare and/or review monthly management packs.

• Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.

• Manage and assist with the preparation of audit files.

• Attend to and manage auditor queries where applicable.

• Prepare and review tax computations, including provisional tax payments and dividend payouts.

• Prepare tax returns on GreatSoft.

• Assist with VAT verifications, income tax verifications and other SARS-related queries.

• Prepare financial reporting for shareholders.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support various finance-related projects.

• Assist with documenting and improving business processes.

Requirements

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.

• 2–3 years' relevant accounting experience.

• Experience in a small audit/accounting practice, or similar environment, would be advantageous.

• SAIPA/SAICA registration is not required but would be beneficial.

• Intermediate Excel skills.

• Strong understanding of accounting, taxation and financial reporting.
