Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager for our office in Kloof street Cape Town who will be reporting to the Project Delivery Lead, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects, as well as ad-hoc consultancy engagements, to our clients customers.

The role involves working with our sales and finance teams, project co-ordinator, engineers, consultants, developers, and architects to ensure successful delivery of project objectives. The role will require attending virtual meetings and support for customers on an ad-hoc basis.

Responsibilities

• End to end management of the project lifecycle including project initiation, defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, user acceptance and business readiness criteria, communication strategy; planning and resource booking; managing the project progress, communications with clients and resources; project closure (including evaluation) and handover to support
• Be the principal contact for the client on all project matters
• Manage and report on project progress, risks, issues and changes, and escalate them as appropriate
• Manage the project resources, budget, and schedule
• Maintain, all project documentation, including risk, change and action logs
• Ensure the quality of the project deliverables and conduct quality checks
• Contribute to management level reporting for the Chief Operations Officer and the wider management team
• Liaise with sub-contractors or other third parties that form part of a project
• Maintain the project management system – ConnectWise, and ensure that time used for projects/tasks is accurately recorded
• Liaise with Finance and Commercial teams to confirm invoice and delivery dates, and ensure timely invoicing
• Work with Technical colleagues to support Commercial with developing statements of work, where project specific information is required

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the successful delivery of projects
• Experienced in the delivery of software implementation projects
• Confident in dealing with C-Level executives and project stakeholders
• Strong Commercial awareness and experience of effective scope / change management
• Able to analyse potential problems and identify routes to resolution
• Confident in recording, tracking, and reporting on tasks, progress, and challenges
• Able to communicate exceptionally well with others, both internal and external
• Able to manage time effectively and proficient at working across multiple active projects
• Self-motivated with the ability to 'think smart' and adapt quickly
• Pro-active; identifying areas to improve and processes to introduce consistent results

Desirable:

• Project Management qualifications such as Prince2 or Agile
• Experience of using ConnectWise PSA or other Project Management applications
• Previous experience of operating within a Business Applications Professional Service and / or Managed IT Service Provider
• Awareness of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Sage products

Please note this is a Project Based Contract

Salary: Market Related depending on experience and Skill set

Shifts: Monday to Friday 09:00 am to 18:00 pm/ 10:00 am to 19:00 based on day light savings in the UK
