responsAbility is a leading Swiss impact asset manager managing USD 5.9 billion across approximately 70 countries, providing debt and equity financing to financial institutions, enterprises and mid-market funds to balance positive social/environmental outcomes with competitive returns. This Junior Transaction Officer role in Cape Town offers candidates an opportunity to work in impact investments, supporting back and middle-office functions across the firm’s emerging-market portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Draft contractual documents including promissory notes, loan agreements and waivers with senior staff and legal support
- Manage continuous investment administration involving cash flow tracking and legal documentation
- Coordinate with the Custody Bank for disbursement execution
- Execute foreign exchange trades in deliverable and non-deliverable currencies
- Coordinate across Investment Officers, Transaction Officers and investees to obtain and track constitutional, legal, financial and regulatory documentation
Key requirements
- Finance, Law, Business Administration or related degree from a recognised institution
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Back/Middle Office or Finance environment
- English and Spanish proficiency (mandatory)
- Proficiency with AI tools, MS Office, Excel and Word
- Independent, accurate and efficient working style with a collaborative approach
- Strong analytical and organisational capabilities
- Interest in impact investing
