Quality Control Manager

This is a senior quality leadership opportunity for a technically strong professional with experience in fabrication, welding, machining, assembly and mining/mineral-processing equipment. The successful candidate will take ownership of quality control across manufacturing and project execution, ensuring products and deliverables meet customer specifications, engineering standards and international quality requirements.

Education:

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 5+ years' experience in a leadership or supervisory quality role.
• Strong experience in quality control within manufacturing, mining equipment, mineral processing or heavy engineering environments.
• IWI-S / IWI-C / CSWIP Welding Inspector certification or equivalent.
• IWT / IWE qualification or strong practical knowledge of welding procedures, including WPS, PQR and WPQ.
• ISO 9712 Level 2 in relevant NDT methods minimum VT, PT, MT and UT.
• AMPP/NACE CIP Level 2 or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of ASME Section VIII Division 1, ASME Section IX and ASME B31.3.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and implementation.
• Experience with welding inspection, fabrication, machining, assembly and pressure-equipment quality requirements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with NDT, material traceability and inspection methodologies.
• Proven experience managing customer inspections and FATs.
• Strong knowledge of RCA, CAPA and continuous-improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with major mining equipment/OEM environments such as FLS, Metso, Delkor or similar
