About the Client
Our client is a premier, highly respected wealth management and fiduciary group known for delivering bespoke financial, estate planning, and trust solutions to high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families. They are seeking an experienced Fiduciary Specialist to manage client relationships, craft estate plans, oversee trust governance, and drive practice growth.
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Estate Planning: Design and implement local and offshore estate planning solutions, evaluate existing structures, and deliver expert tax and fiduciary advice to HNW clients and Wealth Advisors.
Trust & Fiduciary Governance: Act as a representative trustee, oversee trust administration, conduct file reviews, and ensure full compliance with house views, local legislation, and risk management policies.
Deceased Estate Reporting: Prepare documentation, conduct reporting meetings, and collaborate with deceased estate teams, heirs, and advisors.
Document Drafting & Calculations: Draft trust deeds, wills, fiduciary reports, agreements, and estate reporting documents while accurately performing estate duty calculations.
Business Development & Mentorship: Assist Wealth Advisors with client proposals, identify cross-selling opportunities, mentor junior team members, and contribute to thought leadership (articles, presentations, and market updates).
Key Requirements
Qualifications: BA / BComm LLB or equivalent legal qualification. A tax qualification or CFP designation is highly advantageous.
Experience: Preferably an admitted attorney with 10+ years post-articles experience within the fiduciary industry.
Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in estate planning, local and international trust governance, deceased estate administration, and compliance (Master of the High Court, SARS, FICA, FAIS, POPIA, FATCA, Exchange Control).
Languages & Skills: Bi-lingual (English and Afrikaans preferred), with strong drafting, relationship-building, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and client management systems.

Strong practice management skills (debtors, FICA compliance, and process optimization).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
