Senior Accountant

We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our global finance team.

This is a broad and varied role that sits at the heart of the finance function, combining high-volume operational finance activities with technical accounting responsibilities. You'll be involved in everything from invoicing, collections and reconciliations through to revenue recognition, deferred revenue management, lease accounting, fixed assets and month-end reporting.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands on, can confidently manage multiple priorities at once, and is comfortable moving between routine finance tasks and more complex accounting challenges. No two days are quite the same, so the ability to stay organised, adaptable, and focused under pressure is essential.

As part of a global cybersecurity business, you'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments and regions, helping to ensure the finance function remains accurate, compliant, and scalable as the business continues to grow.

This role is hybrid, 3 days per week in our Johannesburg office.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer invoicing and billing activities across the business
• Take ownership of collections and accounts receivable processes
• Maintain deferred revenue schedules and support revenue recognition activities
• Prepare accruals, reconciliations, and month-end journals
• Support monthly management reporting and financial analysisshadow
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Administer lease accounting activities under IFRS 16
• Support internal and external audits
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve finance queries and improve processes
• Contribute to process improvements and finance transformation initiatives

What We Are Looking For

• 8-10 years of accounting experience within a fast-paced commercial environment
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including revenue recognition principles
• Experience managing invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and month-end reporting
• Comfortable balancing day-to-day finance operations with more technical accounting responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across a high-volume workload
• Experience working in a services-based, subscription, recurring revenue, or project-led environment
• Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to changing business needs
• Resilient and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership and solve problems
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work across different teams and levels of the business
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
• Enjoys being hands on and contributing across a broad range of finance activities
