General Manager

REQUIREMENT: - RSA ID and legal residence essential - Proven experience in a General Manager, Lodge Manager or senior lodge management position - Previous experience in a luxury lodge or 4/5 Star hospitality environment advantageous - Proven experience in budgeting, financial management and cost control - Strong understanding of lodge financials and departmental budgets - Experience with financial reporting and monitoring expenditure - Strong leadership and staff management skills - Excellent guest relations and communication abilities - Strong operational and administrative skills - Experience with stock control, procurement and supplier management - Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the property - Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail - Computer literate - Valid Driver's Licence advantageous KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee the complete day-to-day operation of the lodge - Ensure exceptional guest service and hospitality standards - Lead, manage, train and develop the lodge team - Prepare, manage and monitor departmental budgets and operational expenditure - Monitor financial performance, costs and variances and implement corrective measures where required - Assist with forecasting, financial reporting and overall budget control - Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining luxury service standards - Oversee operational administration, stock, purchasing and supplier relationships - Manage guest relations and ensure personalised guest experiences - Monitor property standards, maintenance and presentation - Manage staff schedules and operational requirements - Liaise with owners/management regarding operational and financial performance - Ensure the lodge operates efficiently, professionally and profitably at all times PACKAGE: - R30,000 R40,000 per month (DOE) - Live-in accommodation provided
