About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking a commercially-minded CA(SA) to join their team as a Commercial Manager. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making, providing high-level analysis and business partnering to ensure sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the financial planning process, including the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Provide strategic commercial support to operational heads to improve profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform detailed financial analysis on business performance, providing actionable insights into variances and trends.
• Manage and oversee commercial contracts, ensuring all agreements align with the organisations financial objectives and risk frameworks.
• Lead business case developments for new projects, investments, or market expansions, including ROI and feasibility studies.
• Optimise working capital management and oversee internal controls to mitigate commercial and financial risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve the quality of financial reporting and data integrity.

Requirements

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 35 years of post-article experience in a commercial or financial management role.
• Proven track record in financial modelling, business partnering, and strategic analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with integrated ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Robust commercial acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
