About the Role

Our client, a leading and highly respected organisation, is seeking a high-calibre Regional Manager: Commercial to join their leadership team in Johannesburg. This strategic role requires a commercially minded CA(SA) to drive regional financial performance, provide expert business partnering, and oversee complex commercial operations to ensure long-term profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the regional commercial strategy by providing insightful financial analysis and decision support to the executive team.
• Oversee comprehensive financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis for the region.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage large-scale commercial contracts and negotiations to ensure optimal risk mitigation and value creation.
• Drive regional performance by monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure robust internal controls and compliance frameworks are adhered to across all regional business units.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 810 years of post-article experience in a senior commercial or financial management capacity.
• Proven track record in a regional or multi-site leadership role within a large-scale corporate environment.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial modelling.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Deep understanding of South African regulatory and compliance standards.
