Area: Bloemfontein, Free State

Salary: R20 000

Our client, a well-established company within the construction and building materials industry, is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction/building materials.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, stock control or materials coordination
• Experience within the construction, building materials or related industry is highly advantageous
• Experience with BuildSmart is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management and warehouse procedures
• Experience receiving, issuing, checking and tracking materials and stock
• Good understanding of logistics, deliveries and supplier coordination
• Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities
• Computer literate
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks
• Valid driver’s licence
• Must be immediately available
• Must reside in Bloemfontein

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations
• Receive, inspect, record and correctly store incoming building materials and stock
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records
• Process stock movements, issues, transfers and related documentation
• Coordinate the ordering, collection and delivery of materials with suppliers and transport providers
• Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, shortages and discrepancies
• Use BuildSmart to capture and maintain purchasing, stock and materials-related information
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stock counts and reconciliations
• Ensure materials are correctly allocated and available for projects when required
• Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries and ensure supporting documentation is maintained
• Maintain an organised, safe and efficient warehouse/storeroom
• Identify stock discrepancies, shortages, damages and potential stock losses
• Assist with procurement and materials planning where required
• Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with company procedures and health and safety requirements
